Accounting Manager


Description:

This position will be responsible for all areas related to accounting operations, financial reporting, and developing accounting policies and procedures.  Specific duties include month-end close, accurate and timely financial statement preparation, monthly financial reports, Microsoft Dynamics NAV processing and administration, budgets and forecasts, research of accounting issues for compliance and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NAV Processing: Production Planning and Production Processing.
  • NAV Month End Close: Execute period end processes to establish cut off sales, purchases, and production.
  • Coordinate physical count and reconcile to perpetual quantities by physical location on a quarterly basis: Execute period end processes related to the general ledger and perform tasks related to reporting.
  • Additional Skills: Excellent oral communication and customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees; effective written communication skills to create and deliver reports to senior management. The candidate must maintain the confidential nature of the financial department.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting is preferred and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is required. This position requires a person with strong knowledge and experience in plant operational programs, NAV software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.

Human Resources Manager


Description:

The Human Resources Manager will be experienced in managing a wide range of human resource administrative tasks and be highly knowledgeable in human resource legal compliance. The person will be able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment while managing the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties which include but are not limited to: employee onboarding, record keeping, benefits administration, weekly payroll processing, workman compensation claim processing, and maintaining employee personnel files. The individual will work closely with Organizational Development and company managers to align with company strategies and initiatives.

Human Resources Key Responsibilities

Payroll and Benefits

  • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations of participants in all hiring, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K, disability and life insurance benefit plans and programs.
  • Coordinate weekly payroll processing, combining time clock and payroll information. Ensure accuracy of all employee updates to payroll deductions, garnishments, wage updates and 401k changes.
  • Assist employees with payroll, PTO and benefit claim issues, HSA enrollment, updates, corrections, and concerns.
  • Interface, manage, and assist in the selection of payroll systems
  • Process training and referral bonuses quarterly to payroll.

Policy and Legal Compliance

  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate workers compensation claims and maintain records, process employee financial information needed.
  • Coordinate FMLA, Paid Family Leave and disability claims and process paperwork through broker and employees.

Employee Management

  • Collaborate with the management team to onboard new employees. Conduct new hire orientation and make sure new hires have workspace, hardware, software, e-mail, locker assignments, coordinate uniform assignment, employee mailboxes, and key cards prior to their start date.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary process, termination, or workplace investigation.
  • Assist in tracking employee development plans in concert with managers, coordinate 90-day performance review and annual reviews.
  • Initiate and perform exit interviews and make suggestions for improvements that are consistent with the Company’s vision to be an employer of choice in the area.

Employee/Management Relations

  • Work closely and cohesively with the Organizational Sustainability and Development Manager to coordinate recruitment strategies, interviews, and organizational development initiatives that overlap training, organizational development, and human resources.
  • Interact and form relationships with managers and employees through trainings, presence on the production floor, and meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas.
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary or staff conflicts.
  • Prompt and immediate follow up with employees, managers, customers, and applicants.

Research and Development New Product Development Engineer


Description:

Cayuga Milk Ingredients (CMI) is seeking a R&D New Product Development Engineer. The successful candidate will deliver innovation projects that support the CMI growth strategy by leading the research, prototyping and development of innovative ingredients by applying emerging and existing technologies to generate new ingredients that drive profitable growth.

In this newly created role, the candidate will be expected to identify the needed resources to develop a robust Research and Development Department. The candidate must possess product and process development skills to create new ingredients and support continuous improvement efforts to the current product line.

  • Experience working in R&D, product development, or process related field within a FDA regulated industry.
  • Experience with Ultrafiltration and Spray Drying technologies strongly preferred.

Process Equipment Operator


Evening Shift (6:00pm – 6:30am)

Perform receiving, pasteurization, separation, batching sanitation, clean-in-place, maintenance and record-keeping functions in various manufacturing departments. Analyze ingredients to meet customer specifications.

Laboratory Technician

Evening Shift (6:00pm-6:30am)

Join our expanding business as a laboratory technician. The successful candidate should enjoy the laboratory setting and be able to perform a variety of milk testing procedures. Technicians must be able to calibrate and operate laboratory machines (e.g. a pH meter) and perform analytical testing. Other essential skills include laboratory and food safety skills (e.g. chemical handling and aseptic technique), the ability to communicate clearly, and familiarity with laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED necessary, Associate’s Degree in biology or related areas preferred.
